When you ask yourself where all your money go, you should probably consider planning your expenses more carefully. MoneyPlan allows you to write down your expenses and income sources and it automatically generates detailed reports. Additionally, it allows you to keep track of your transactions, it notifies you if you have unpaid bills and more.

MoneyPlan is freeware and you can use it on Windows XP or any later edition. The installation file is small, so you can have the program up and running in a few moments.

You can access different sections, on the user interface, to plan your monthly budget, log your transactions, manage bills and view statistics. Spending goals can be set in the budget section. You may compile different lists, with income sources and expenses. Besides typing the name of an expense and the sum, you can also select a category from a drop menu. It is important to categorize your expenses because the software will use this information to illustrate your monthly expenses and savings as a pie chart, on the same page. You can also define and use your own categories.

The transactions section works in a similar fashion. You can insert income sources and expenses and view them on different lists. Instead of displaying a pie chart, in the transactions section, MoneyPlan provides you with various statistics, like how much you have spent, how much money you have left and more. Expenses can be categorized in transactions sections as well and you can set up custom filters.

Bills can be organized in a different section. When creating a bill, you can specify the service and its name, the expected amount of money, the bill's due date and other details. It is also possible to specify a payment method, like credit card, check, cash and others. While working in other sections, the software will display notifications if you have unpaid bills or if you exceed your planned budget.
